Where Quality Craftsmanship Comes to Life

Every landscape project starts with thorough site preparation, includes expert landscape construction, and finishes with quality turf and planting.

Featured Projects Across Melbourne’s West

A look at some of our favourite landscaping projects completed across Melbourne, showcasing the quality, detail, and durability we bring to every outdoor space.

Park Ln

This project went beyond standard landscaping to create a fully immersive, commercial-grade adventure zone right in the backyard. We transformed a standard residential block into a vibrant sensory playscape, combining safety with high-energy fun. The design features varied elevations, colourful textures, and dedicated activity zones – including a putting green and balance course – creating a space that encourages active outdoor play year-round.

  • Scope of Work: Large-scale excavation, concrete sculpting (mounds), installation of wet pour rubber (“Softfall”) surfacing, synthetic turfing, timber carpentry, and decorative screening.
  • Custom Features: Hand-sculpted colourful rubber climbing mounds, a custom backyard putting green, steel balance and swing bars, and laser-cut Corten steel privacy screens.
  • Site Challenges: Precision concrete shaping to create safe, organic mound forms; preserving the large existing shade tree with a custom stone retaining wall; and ensuring seamless transitions between different surface materials.
  • Materials Used: Wet pour rubber safety surfacing (Blue, Orange, Purple), premium synthetic turf, recycled hardwood logs, Corten steel, natural stone.

Suffolk St

This project involved a complete transformation of a front yard to complement a classic renovated weatherboard home. The goal was to create a structured, formal entrance that maximises curb appeal while maintaining clean, geometric lines. We balanced the traditional charm of the white picket fence with modern exposed aggregate concrete and dark timber accents, creating a welcoming “avenue” effect that guides visitors to the front deck.

  • Scope of Work: Site excavation, soil conditioning, exposed aggregate concreting, timber deck restoration, planting, turfing.
  • Custom Features: Statement urn on custom concrete plinth, symmetrical “avenue” topiary planting, contrasting dark-stained timber deck.
  • Site Challenges: Heavy clay soil management, precision levelling for drainage, working within existing fence lines.
  • Materials Used: Exposed aggregate concrete, Sir Walter Buffalo turf, dark organic mulch, Strelitzia nicolai (Giant Bird of Paradise), Standard Ficus.

St Laurent Blvd

This project involved reclaiming a narrow, underutilised side area and turning it into a functional extension of the home’s living space. We constructed a raised timber deck directly over the existing concrete path and bare earth, effectively levelling the threshold for a seamless indoor-outdoor flow. The design features a smart, space-saving layout that incorporates long, built-in bench seating, removing the need for bulky furniture and maximising the area for entertaining.

  • Scope of Work: Custom timber deck construction, sub-frame build over concrete, integrated bench seating, garden bed preparation, planting.
  • Custom Features: Built-in hardwood bench seating running the full length of the fence, integrated planter beds for greenery, seamless corner wrap-around.
  • Site Challenges: Working within a narrow “dead side” corridor, levelling the sub-frame over uneven mixed surfaces (concrete and soil).
  • Materials Used: Merbau hardwood decking (90mm), treated pine sub-frame, dark organic mulch, compact hedging plants.

Hamilton Ct

Designed to complement a striking modern Hamptons-style home, this project focused on adding warmth and character through texture. We utilised recycled red bricks to construct winding pathways and low retaining walls, creating a stunning contrast against the crisp white weatherboards and dark roof. The hardscaping is softened by sweeping curves and a circular lawn, leading the eye toward a unique sculptural feature piece that anchors the front garden.

  • Scope of Work: Excavation, recycled brick paving, exposed aggregate driveway borders, turfing, drainage installation, garden edging.
  • Custom Features: Sweeping recycled brick pathway, curved low masonry retaining walls, feature metal leaf sculpture, precision steel edging.
  • Site Challenges: Establishing complex curves with rigid brickwork, integrating extensive strip drainage for water management, merging new paving with existing concrete.
  • Materials Used: Recycled red bricks, mild steel garden edging, exposed aggregate concrete, Sir Walter Buffalo turf, dark organic mulch.

Limestone Ave

This project focused on the “bones” of a good landscape – creating stable, usable ground on a challenging site. We tackled significant level changes along the property boundary by constructing heavy-duty retaining walls in a highly restricted space. The build transformed a muddy, sloping side passage into a structurally sound area, integrating essential drainage to protect the home’s foundations and reclaim usable land.

  • Scope of Work: Tight-access excavation, heavy-duty retaining wall construction, site levelling, comprehensive drainage installation.
  • Custom Features: Structural galvanised steel uprights for maximum longevity, precise levelling in narrow corridors, integrated stormwater management systems.
  • Site Challenges: Extremely limited “dead side” access, managing wet heavy clay soil, and working directly against existing boundary fencing.
  • Materials Used: Galvanised steel H-beam posts, 75mm treated pine sleepers, PVC & Ag-pipe drainage, concrete footings.

Childcare Centre

Moving beyond residential work, this project involved the complete construction of a multi-zoned outdoor learning environment for a local Early Learning Centre. The goal was to create a safe, durable, and stimulating playscape that encourages sensory development and imaginative play. We constructed distinct “zones” – from active obstacle courses to quiet nature corners – ensuring the space meets strict Australian safety standards while remaining engaging for children.

  • Scope of Work: Commercial playground construction, custom carpentry (forts/cubbies), installation of certified soft-fall surfaces (sand, mulch, synthetic turf), water play plumbing, and sensory garden planting.
  • Custom Features: A custom timber cubby and performance stage, interactive “mud kitchen” with manual water pumps, a dedicated veggie patch for student learning, and a recycled tyre obstacle course.
  • Site Challenges: Adhering to rigorous safety regulations regarding fall heights and entrapment risks, building structures capable of withstanding heavy daily traffic, and integrating drainage for large sand and water play areas.
  • Materials Used: Heavy-duty treated pine, certified soft-fall mulch, synthetic turf, shade sails, recycled tyres, sensory plants.

What Our Clients Say About Us

Real feedback from Melbourne homeowners and businesses who trusted us to transform their outdoor spaces.

Excellent communication from start to finish. Daniel provided design options to fit within my budget. My front and back yard needed attention – it went from chaos to calm with well-structured borders, freshly laid grass on levelled ground with consideration of natural drainage, installation of a water feature and letterbox, selection and planting of natives. He was thoughtful in sustainable use of materials, reusing the removed soil to replenish my footpath. Highly recommend Daniel for all your landscaping needs.

Jeannette C, Werribee

I recently had the pleasure of working with Daniel from CreationScapes to install a fence on my property, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. From start to finish, Daniel was professional, punctual, and incredibly detail-oriented. He took the time to understand my needs and delivered a finished product that exceeded all expectations. What truly stood out to me was the quality of his work. The side of the fence he installed is flawless – sturdy, beautifully crafted, and perfectly aligned. In fact, his work is so superior that it makes the other side of my fence (installed by a different contractor) look amateurish in comparison. The difference in craftsmanship is night and day! I will absolutely be calling him for any future projects and recommending him to everyone I know.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Daniel from CreationScapes for our childcare landscaping, and the results have been absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, Daniel was professional, reliable, and incredibly attentive to our needs. He took the time to understand our vision and created a safe, engaging, and beautiful outdoor space that the children and staff absolutely love. His attention to detail and quality workmanship are second to none – every corner of the project was finished to the highest standard. He was also easy to communicate with, kept us informed throughout the process, and delivered everything on time. We couldn’t be happier with the transformation. If you’re looking for someone who combines creativity with professionalism, we highly recommend Daniel and the team at CreationScapes. Thank you for helping us create such a wonderful environment for our little ones!
